FRISCO, Texas -- Sunday was the final day of competition at the Generation adidas Cup, with 18 teams competing in consolation games prior to the tournament championship at Toyota Stadium.

International Division
FC Dallas 1, Flamengo 0
FC Dallas became the first team in the tournament to beat Brazilian power Flamengo in regulation on Sunday morning, finishing the tournament in third place.
Two days after Flamengo were eliminated on penalty kicks by eventual champion Stoke City, host FC Dallas jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a goal from Luis "Bernie" ZuaZua.
Flamengo's chances of mounting a comeback took a hit due to a red card early in the second half, but goalkeeper Gabriel cut off multiple FC Dallas crosses into the area in the second half to keep it close.
FC Dallas goalkeeper Charlie Furrer and his back line made ZuaZua's goal stand up with their third shutout in five games, and Furrer wound up with the tournament's Golden Gloves award.

Mexican club Chivas Guadalajara earned their first win of the tournament Sunday morning, beating the New York Red Bulls 3-2.
Several of the best Chivas chances came from set pieces, as Roberto López and Oscar Macías both scored from set pieces to tie the game after New York had gotten goals from Gideon Metrikin and Chris Flores, both of whom have scored three times in the tournament, to take the lead. Jesús Peña's late goal meant Chivas did not go home without tasting success.
