American Exports: Juan Agudelo comes off bench for FC Utrecht in crucial 1-0 win

AMSTERDAM – Juan Agudelo worked the final 18 minutes to help FC Utrecht move clear of the drop zone with a sorely needed 1-0 victory over Eredivisie guests Cambuur on Wednesday.

Just three minutes after coming on, the US international had his low drive shoved out of the far corner by Cambuur netminder Leonard Nienhuis. Agudelo also rang up a defensive clearance and three free kicks earned in an active substitute shift.

The win, Utrecht's first in five games, moved them five points above the danger zone with four rounds to play. The relegation fighters have lost just one of their last seven.
