The 2014 MLS season is only days away, but that may not stop the Vancouver Whitecaps from further bolstering their attack.
Attacking midfielder Pedro Morales has agreed by mutual consent to terminate his contract with La Liga outfit Málaga in order to clear a path to Vancouver, according to a report out of Spain.
The Vancouver Province also reported the news on Friday and added that the 28-year-old Chilean will join the club as a Designated Player, joining forward Kenny Miller and recently acquired midfielder Matias Laba to fill out the team's three slots.
If true, the 28-year-old Chilean would join the Whitecaps after making just eight starts and scoring one goal in 25 league games during a disappointing debut season for Málaga, who are just three points clear of the relegation zone in Spain's top flight.
