DC United announce new jersey front sponsor as part of multi-year partnership with Leidos

DC United's new 2014 jersey including jersey sponsor

D.C. United unveiled their new 2014 jersey a little over a week ago, but it's already changing.

On Monday, the club announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Leidos and the company's logo will be exclusively featured on the front of D.C.'s 2014 jerseys.

Leidos is a "national security, health and engineering solutions company ... and is a top employer in the [Washington] area," according to the official club statement.

D.C. fans looking to buy the up-to-date edition of the jersey with the Leidos logo will have to wait until opening day on March 8, when it will be made available online and at the club's official team store at RFK Stadium, where the Black-and-Red will host the Columbus Crew on the same day (7 pm ET, MLS LIVE).

The club says that it will add the Leidos logo free of charge at the team store for fans who have already purchased the 2014 jersey.
