Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley on their 2004 MLS SuperDraft day

Everybody has to start somehwere, right?

Before they became US national team superstars, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore were all at one time a young, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed rookie selected in the MLS SuperDraft.

As you can imagine, a lot has changed with those three guys over the last decade since they became professionals. And I'm not just talking about their status as three of the very best American players playing the game.

Altidore looks exactly the same now as he did then, except his upper body has grown to about twice its previous size.

Bradley was 16 years old when that picture was taken, yet somehow he still looks a few days short of his actual age at the time. Also, good call on the shaved head.

And then there's Dempsey — what else is there to say, other than, "Bring back that hair, Deuce."
