Newly signed Toronto FC forward Jermain Defoe strikes for Tottenham Hotspur

On Saturday, a day after the deal to bring Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe to Toronto FC was officialy announced, the English international reminded the fans of his soon-to-be-former club what they'll be missing and what fans of TFC will be getting.


Defoe came on as a substitute in the 58th minute against Crystal Palace and struck his first Premier League goal of the season in the 72nd minute. Riding the offside line, as he often does, he collected a pass from Aaron Lennon in the area, danced around a defender, and put the ball up and over the diving goalkeeper. 



The goal was Defoe's first in the league since April 2013.
