New York Red Bulls trio, John Harkes' son lead call-ups for US Under-20 January camp

US Under-20 national team head coach Tab Ramos roams the sidelines in Mexico

US Under-20 national team head coach Tab Ramos (above) called up 36 players on Friday ahead of a 10-day camp in Florida, led by a trio New York Red Bulls Homegrown players, as well as a current RBNY Academy player and two former RBNY Academy players now starring in the college game.

Red Bulls players Santiago Castaño, Matthew Miazga and Amando Moreno and the other three RBNY-affiliated players made up the largest contingent of players connected to one club in the group.

Other MLS players include Real Salt Lake defender Jordan Allen and forward Benji Lopez, Chivas USA midfielder Marco Delgado, and Philadelphia Union forward Zach Pfeffer, as well as Chicago FIre Academy player defender Grant Lillard and RSL Arizona academy midfielder Corey Baird.

Six of the players called ply their trade at professional clubs abroad, including Cruzeiro midfielder Luis Felipe and Boca Juniors midfielder Joel Sonora, the son of former Dallas, New York, and D.C. defender Diego Sonora.

Another player with a famous father, Ian Harkes, son of former USMNT captain John Harkes, is getting his first look with the U-20s after being named a Freshman All-American this fall at Wake Forest.

2012 Young Player of the Year Rubio Rubin, who starred for the US Under-17 team, will look to continue to impress at the next age group before he completes a contract to join Dutch club FC Utrecht
