American Exports: Michael Bradley puts in strong shift as Roma take a point at Milan

AMSTERDAM – Michael Bradley put in a strong shift as AS Roma remained unbeaten on the season with a 2-2 Serie A draw at AC Milan on Monday night.

Playing in the venerable San Siro against his favorite childhood club, the US star worked a more advanced midfield role than usual, which led to Bradley firing off a team-high four shots in the contest. All were blocked, however, including Daniele Bonera's saving clearance off the line scant moments after Milan's first equalizer on 29 minutes.

Bradley also led the away midfield in passing accuracy, tackles and free kicks won. The American is now unbeaten in three games for Roma against Milan, including a pair of San Siro shares.

With both Daniele De Rossi and Kevin Strootman picking up suspension-inducing yellow cards against Milan, Bradley can expect his third league start of the month when Roma host bottom feeders Catania on Sunday. Monday's result left the Giallorossi five points shy of the top spot in second place, while also extending their Serie A road unbeaten streak to 11 games.
