American Exports: DaMarcus Beasley's move to Queretaro not a done deal yet, Puebla officials say

DaMarcus Beasley with Puebla

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Is DaMarcus Beasley a Querétaro player or not? The Liga MX club released an official statement on Tuesday to confirm the high-profile signing of US international from Puebla, but the deal may not yet be 100 percent done.

Beasley’s agent, Richard Motzkin, responded to tweets on Tuesday that the deal was done by shooting them down as "not true."

Puebla confirmed to MLSsoccer.com on Wednesday that the deal is indeed not yet done – at least officially. A spokesman for La Franja said he didn't foresee any issues, "but it is still not official, despite Querétaro having accepted it [as complete].”

Beasley signed for Puebla in June of 2011, but there had been much speculation in the local press that he would be leaving this winter ahead of Querétaro’s announcement.
