For months now, Everton's American goalkeeper, Tim Howard, has sported a bushy beard that just got bushier each week. The Sideline loved it. Everyone loved it. It had its own Twitter handle.
Then, in a dramatic twist on Saturday, he ran out onto the field at Emirates Stadium for Everton's match vs. Arsenal with a clean-shaven face. He had actually unveiled his new look earlier in the day with this selfie on his Instagram account:
We don't know yet about the choice to shave it all off, but the Sideline applauds the way Howard did it. Well done, sir.
