American Exports: Teenager Marc Pelosi inks Liverpool extension while rehabbing broken leg

AMSTERDAM – Recovering Liverpool prospect Marc Pelosi happily inked a multi-year extension with the club this week.

The left-sider (pictured right), who suffered a nightmare broken leg in February, was set to run out of contract at season's end. The 19-year-old can now set concerns about his future aside to focus on the last few months of his rehabilitation.

"Marc appreciates the support Liverpool has shown," Pelosi rep Richard Motzkin told MLSsoccer.com. "He is working hard in rehab and hopes to be back on the field soon."

Pelosi, who was injured just after making Liverpool's Europa League roster, has yet to make his debit for the first team. Last season, he hit three goals in 11 games for the reserves, with time split between left back, left wing and central midfield.
