Robbie Findley, MLS Fantasy

On Thursday, we gave you a detailed look at the most-dropped players ahead of MLS Cup Playoffs Conference Championship second leg between the Portland TImbers and Real Salt Lake. Now let's take a look at the most-added players for that game.

Robbie Findley had an impressive performance in the first leg, scoring once and adding an assist on Devon Sandoval's goal early in the second half. However, I expect a much different type of game in the second leg between these two teams (Sunday, 9 pm ET, ESPN); a game that would not benefit Robbie Findley. Here's why...

1) Defensively, the Timbers are a much stingier team in front of their home crowd, conceding just 11 goals through 17 games during the regular season.

2) The field dimensions at Rio Tinto Stadium (120 yards by 75 yards) favor open-play scoring, which is exactly how Findley racked up his points. However, at JELD-WEN Field the field dimensions (110 yards by 74 yards) will work against them.

3) Findley played 66 minutes in the first leg before he was replaced by Joao Plata. Expect him to see similar minutes next Sunday, if not less.

If there's one area of weakness in Portland's game that Jason Kreis and RSL will look to exploit, it's set pieces. The Timbers have conceded 17 goals via set pieces in 2013 (including playoffs), and in the first leg vs. RSL, they conceded twice.

This benefits three Salt Lake players primarily from the table above: Javier Morales, Nat Borchers and Chris Schuler. We also saw Joao Plata get in on the action in the first leg with his service to Morales on RSL's fourth goal. And this wasn't the first time Plata and Morales connected on a corner kick against Portland. Who remembers this beauty of a goal?

Real Salt Lake (Regular Season)

HOME

  • Shots per game (excl. blocks) - 11.6
  • Shots faced per game (excl. blocks) - 9.4
  • Shooting Accuracy - 46.5 percent

AWAY

  • Shots per game (excl. blocks) - 8.5
  • Shots faced per game (excl. blocks) - 13.8
  • Shooting Accuracy - 52.8 percent (1st in MLS)

I'm not expecting RSL to get shutout and I'm not expecting the Timbers to get shut out either.

What do you think? Can RSL come into Portland and earn a clean sheet? Who do you think will score for RSL? Tell us in the comments.
