FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England goalkeeper Matt Reis quickly placed the importance of the 2-1 victory over Sporting Kansas City in context after the final whistle on Saturday night.
The second-half display – including a pair of goals from Andy Dorman and Kelyn Rowe before Aurelien Collin grabbed a goal back for Sporting – provided the Revolution with a modest edge in this Eastern Conference Semifinals, but Reis insists the Revs must keep their concentration ahead of the second leg at Sporting Park on Wednesday.
“In this series, it's like we're at halftime,” Reis told MLSsoccer.com. “We're up 2-1 at halftime. The more goals we have and the more pressure we can put on them, it's great for us. It's going to be a tough task going in there and getting a result, but I like our chances.”

Revolution defender Darrius Barnes noted he and his teammates must find a way to use the positive result to improve their overall performance before they travel to Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday.
“It gives us momentum and some confidence going in there,” Barnes said. “We have to go in there and get a result. We can't go in there, lay down and roll over for them. We know it's going to be a battle for 90 minutes, going in there to their place. Their home field is going to be rocking. We'll have to bring it up another notch from what we did tonight.”
