AT&T Goal of the Week update: Portland Timbers' Diego Valeri keeping New York Red Bulls' DP at bay

AT&T Goal of the Week: Week 35

Diego Valeri finished off his 2013 Newcomer of the Year campaign in style, scoring a tremendous goal against Chivas USA on Saturday. MLS fans were clearly paying attention, putting Valeri atop the AT&T Goal of the Week race with 42.13 percent of the votes so far.

If he keeps his lead he will collect his fourth AT&T Goal of the Week award, but Thierry Henry is on his tail behind a beautiful goal on Sunday that started the Red Bulls onslaught over the Fire and led New York to the Supporters' Shield. Henry's half-volley from outside the 18 has collected 34.05 percent of the vote in search of his third AT&T Goal of the Week award of 2013.

Camilo’s beautiful goal, which came after he skinned Drew Moor, sits in third with 13.66 percent of the vote, but that's probably not too upsetting after the Brazilian took home the Golden Boot.

Lloyd Sam’s eventual game-winner sits in a distant fourth (5.45 percent) while Juan Agudelo’s finish after some great passing by the Revolution is holding up the rear with 4.70 percent of the vote.

Voting runs until 11:59 pm PT on Thursdays. For complete coverage of the AT&T MLS Goal of the Week — including an archive of all of this season's winners — click here.
