USMNT experiencing gamesmanship over infamous "Snow Game" from Costa Rica fans, Federation | SIDELINE

USMNT players arrive at airport in Costa Rica — September, 2013

Gamesmanship and mind games are the words of the day coming out of Costa Rica as the US national team arrived in San José, Costa Rica, on Tuesday night and began preparations on Wednesday afternoon for Friday night's World Cup qualifying match at Estadio Nacional (10 pm ET, beIN Sport).

As it seems, Costa Rican fans — and perhaps the Costa Rican Football Federation as well — are still none too pleased that the first meeting this year between the two teams was allowed to continue despite blizzard-like conditions, a game the USMNT won 1-0.

Chants of "No Fair Play," can be heard in the above video of the USMNT's arrival at the airport in San Jose. The below videos, tweets and/or photos will document the rest of the gamesmanship and mind games being dealt the USMNT's way since the moment their plane touched hit the runway.

Alright, Ticos, we get it. You're really mad about the game in March, that you had to play that game in the blizzard-like snow, and ultimately, that you lost. But keep this in mind: The USMNT had to play on that same field, in that same blizzard that you did. And they beat you despite it, not because of it.
