US national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Michael Parkhurst to the USMNT training camp roster in place of Brad Evans, who suffered a calf strain in Seattle’s 1-0 win against Columbus on Saturday night.
Parkhurst started in five of six matches in the USA’s run to the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup championship, including the final. He will travel on Monday to Miami, where the team has gathered in preparation for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against Costa Rica and Mexico.
Evans had won the starting right back spot with a series of strong performances earlier in the Hexagonal qualifying round
