Days after being waived by the Montreal Impact, Dennis Iapichino has found a new home in MLS.
On Thursday morning, D.C. United announced they have signed the 23-year-old left back, and that he would be available for selection against his former side on Saturday at Stade Saputo (7 pm ET, TSN2, MLS Live).
“We are pleased to be adding a quality left back in Dennis,” D.C. United general manager Dave Kasper said in a statement. “He possesses very good technical ability and is a smart player tactically. We look forward to having him as a part of United.”
Iapichino made 16 appearances for Montreal this season before being waived. He previously played for FC Lugano, FC Biel-Bienne and FC Basel in his native Switzerland before signing with the Impact.
