Not sure if we'd call this a dream move, but it puts an end to a nightmare.
Argentine forward Rogelio Funes Mori -- who won the 2008 edition of Sueño MLS when he was living in Dallas with his family -- is leaving River Plate to join Portuguese giants Benfica.
Recently, he's been in a contract dispute with River Plate that, he says, has taken away his "serenity. . . . A change of air will do me good."
Since joining River in 2009 after spending some time training with FC Dallas and then EPL side Chelsea, Funes Mori, 22, has scored 22 league goals, led Argentina's U-20s at the South American championship, and debuted for the senior national team.
According to this ESPN Deportes report, the move to Portugal is a little complicated. Seems that "Fujimori," as he's nicknamed, has been purchased by a third party for $2 million and then contracted to Benfica.
Meanwhile, his twin brother, Ramiro, who also participated in the same Sueño MLS competition, will remain at River.
