AMSTERDAM – Summer signing Bryan Gerzicich made a winning Hapoel Tel Aviv debut as the visitors got a leg up on Europa League second qualifying-round foes Beroe with a 4-1 away-leg rout on Thursday.

The Los Angeles native cleanly worked all 90 minutes from the right defensive midfield slot as the Red Demons comfortably put one foot in the next round.

Hapoel, who do not open the new Ligat Ha'al season until August 24, will welcome the Bulgarian Cup holders to Israel for the return leg on July 25.
