MLS Insider, produced by eight-time Emmy award-winning director Jonathan Hock and shown weekly on the NBC Sports Network (Friday, 7:30 p.m. ET) and TSN (Friday 2 p.m. ET), is only in its third week of television rotation, and we're already prepared to call it one of the best human interest, culture series in all of the sports world.
The first — featuring Robbie Rogers, Tim Cahill and the Sons of Ben — and second episodes — featuring Raúl Fernández and the Houston Dynamo's 2006 MLS Cup victory — aired June 21 and 28 and drew positive reviews from fans around the league.
MLS Insider returned this past Friday night with a trio of features surrounding a pair of the weekend's marquee matchups — Seattle Sounders vs. Vancouver Whitecaps, and Sporting Kansas City vs. Chicago Fire. Whitecaps forward, Kekuta Manneh, Fire forward Mike Magee and the Cascadia Cup were the three featured topics on Friday night's episode of MLS Insider.
