Castrol Index Weekly Top 20: San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Jon Busch leads the way in Week 16

Things seem to be looking up for the San Jose Earthquakes.

In a relatively light week, Quakes goalkeeper Jon Busch topped the Castrol Index Top 20 for Week 16 with a terrific performance in a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rapids, the first under new San Jose interim manager Mark Watson. Busch's six saves helped the Quakes hold off the resurgent Rapids, down a man for more than 70 minutes after Atiba Harris' sending off.

However, it was multiple players from Colorado and the New England Revolution who distinguished themselves despite being on the wrong side of their respective results. Nathan Sturgis (No. 2), Brian Mullan (No. 7), Drew Moor (No. 10), and Marvell Wynne (No. 14) all rated highly in a losing cause for the Rapids, while Scott Caldwell (No. 11), Dimitry Imbongo (No. 15), and Juan Agudelo (No. 19) made the grade for the Revs following a wild 4-3 loss against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
