Take a look at the league leaders in assists and there's one name that you probably weren't expecting to see there.
With just eight starts on the season and his last one coming back on May 11, New England's Kelyn Rowe is right there with Sporting Kansas City's USMNT midfielder Graham Zusi with an MLS-high five assists on the year.

The last two came on Sunday in a brief spell off the bench during a resounding 5-0 win over the LA Galaxy.
And Rowe credits a tactical shift from wide midfield to central midfield as the main catalyst for his latest offensive outburst. Four of the assists came after the switch was made, giving the second-year player more freedom to operate and create.
“I think [playing centrally] maximizes a lot because on the wing I was kind of [playing] in two different directions," said Rowe. "It was up and back. Now in the midfield, I can go any which way and in the center I’m very confident and very comfortable ... It’s easier to find the ball."
