Robbie Keane is one game away from becoming the Republic of Ireland's all-time caps leader after coming off the bench to score a brace against Georgia in a 4-0 win on Sunday in an international friendly in Dublin.
Keane is now tied with goalkeeper Shay Given with 125 international appearances and is expected to pass the Aston Villa man on Friday when Ireland take on the Faroe Islands in a World Cup qualifier.
The 32-year-old LA Galaxy striker scored his 55th career international goal in the 77th minute, finishing off a low cross with ease, then claimed No. 56 just two minutes from time to extend his already wide lead at the top of Ireland's all-time scoring table.
