Sporting Kansas City and the Montréal Impact meet for the only time this season when the clubs face off in an intraconference clash Saturday evening at Sporting Park. Sporting return home after a second consecutive victory by shutout, with their 1-0 win at Vancouver Whitecaps FC last weekend. The Impact put an end to their three-game winless run in style last weekend, rolling to a 3-0 win against Columbus Crew SC at Stade Saputo.


  • Sporting KC won a second consecutive game by shutout, defeating Vancouver Whitecaps FC 1-0 on Sunday evening at BC Place. Sporting are 6-1-3 in their last 10 games; they have recorded shutouts in five of their last six matches, since May 23.
  • Dominic Oduro scored a pair of goals as the Impact put an end to a three-game winless run, storming to a 3-0 victory against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday evening at Stade Saputo.
  • Sporting have won the last three meetings between the teams, all last season. SKC won 4-0 at Sporting Park on April 19, then won the last two meetings, both at Stade Saputo, 3-0 on May 10 and 2-1 on July 12.
  • The three victories last season ended a two-game winning streak by the Impact, winning once at each ground in 2013.
