Those crafty forward thinkers in the FC Dallas Marketing and Communications departments launched something pretty cool today.
Beginning on Thursday morning, you will earn "FCD Rewards" points every time you use the hashtag #FCDallas on social media sites, Twitter and Instagram. And, as ever, points are totaled up over a period of time to determine a monthly winner, for which there is some serious swag up for grabs. For the month of June, you can win four tickets to an FC Dallas game, and four FC Dallas T-shirts.
And would you look at that; there's already a dozen people over the 1,000 point threshold less than six hours after the program kicked off. Who says people have too much time on their hands these days?
So basically you'll be rewarded with prizes for filling your friends' and family's Twitter timelines with every FC Dallas-related thought that springs to mind, whereas before you only annoyed those same people and received nothing in return. Do I have that just about right?
