One of the big international soccer news stories from the weekend was the red card issued to former MLS star David Beckham for a studs-up tackle during a French Ligue 1 match between Paris Saint-Germain and Évian.
The red card is very similar to the Englishman's last ejection in a league match: August 2009 vs. Seattle.
It was the only red card of his MLS career and midfielder Peter Vagenas bore the brunt of that challenge in the 17th minute. Watch it below and compare it to Sunday's tackle (WATCH: Beckham's tackle vs. Evian), which reports say was the seventh of Beckham's professional career.
