A pair of clubs who have turned around their fortunes recently meet when the Colorado Rapids face Seattle Sounders FC in a Western Conference matchup Saturday evening at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids won for a second time in a row and their third time in three home matches last weekend in a 2-1 snowbound victory against the New York Red Bulls. Sounders FC have made it three games undefeated after opening the year with three consecutive losses, claiming a 2-1 home win against Philadelphia Union at CenturyLink Field last Saturday.

- Jermaine Jones scored a goal and added an assist in his Rapids debut, leading his new team to a second consecutive victory in a 2-1 win against the New York Red Bulls at a snowy Dick’s Sporting Goods Park 588196646" tabindex="0">on Saturday evening. It was Jones’ first goal in league play since Oct. 4, 2014, when he netted for the New England Revolution.
- Jordan Morris scored the first goal of his professional career, hitting for the game-winner as Sounders FC won for a second time this season and extended their undefeated streak to three games in a 2-1 win against Philadelphia Union at CenturyLink Field.
- The Rapids won the last meeting between the teams a year ago, a 1-0 victory on 588196647" tabindex="0">July 18 at CenturyLink Field, ending a five-game Sounders FC winning streak in the all-time series and the club’s first victory ever in Seattle in 10 regular-season visits.
- The final meeting win was just the second for the Rapids vs. Seattle over the last five seasons. Since the start of 2011, Sounders FC have 12 of 15 meetings in regular season and MLS Cup play, with one draw.
