American Exports: Alejandro Bedoya continues offensive surge in new No. 10 role

Alejandro Bedoya in action for Helsingborg

STUTTGART, Germany – Alejandro Bedoya's offensive surge continued on Thursday, with the Helsingborg playmaker notching a goal and an assist in a 4-1 cruise through Norrköping.

Just after the break, the US international bagged the away side's third of the evening by firing home off the post from beyond the area. Then, at the hour mark, Bedoya sent Mattias Lindström in alone for the final HIF strike.

Bedoya, who was moved into the No. 10 role during preseason with an edict for more attacking production, has now rung up three goals and three assist in the first seven games of 2013. The victory lifted Helsingborg to fourth place, three points off the top through four league matches.

Meanwhile, in nearby Denmark, Clarence Goodson went unused as Brøndby fell just short of the DBU-Pokalen final in a 3-1 overtime loss to second-leg hosts Esbjerg.
