Toronto FC midfielder Júlio César's time with the club has ended before ever really getting started.
Not even three months after signing with Toronto FC, the 34-year-old was waived by the club on Friday. The well-traveled midfielder had not made a single appearance for the Reds this season as he was nursing a calf injury.
The former Real Madrid man spent the last two seasons playing for Sporting Kansas City, where he made 54 appearances in regular-season play, before being released by the club last November.
Júlio César is now eligible to be picked up by any other MLS team.
