Coventry City may soon have a more American feel to it.
US-based property tycoon Preston Jaskell IV is looking to take control of the League One club, which is currently seeking promotion to England's second tier. Jaskell and his associates have a deal in place to take the half share currently owned by the Alan Edward Higgs charity in Arena Coventry Limited and they also agreed to buy a share of the Ricoh Arena, which is based in Coventry.
The 46-year-old Jaskell reportedly was interested in buying into Leeds United last year, but the move never transpired and he is now hoping to gain control of Coventry City with the idea that he can help it eventually move up into the Premier League.
Jaskell was born in Florida but is now based in Sweden. His fortunate is estimated to be at $249 million.
