The Montreal Impact may have only joined MLS in 2012, but they've been around for 20 years.
The club celebrates that history with their new third jerseys unveiled on Wednesday night at a private event held at New City Gas in Montreal. T
he new black-and-blue strip, which features a collar and two buttons along the front, harkens back to the first year the club came to be in 1993.

"And so we've done a blue-and-black striped jersey for them that really pays homage to that team," explained adidas product manager Mike Walker. "It's a very good look. A very classic look for them."

There's more. Given that 2013 represents the Impact's 20th anniversary, the third kit features a call-out on the back of the jersey noting the years of existence of the club, surrounded by what else: a fleur-de-lys representative of the city.
