US U-18 coach Perez names 20-player roster for camp

United States Under-18 men's national team coach Javier Perez has named a 20-man roster for the team's upcoming training camp in the Netherlands, US Soccer announced Wednesday.

The camp, schedule for Sept. 6-17 in Mill, Netherlands, will see the team face their Dutch counterparts, as well as U-18 teams from club sides Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund and Club Brugge.

Highlighting the roster are a trio of players who have already signed professional contracts with MLS clubs – FC Dallas' Kellyn Acosta (12, above), Chivas USA's Marco Delgado and the Philadelphia Union's Zach Pfeffer.

The three pros will be joined by 13 players set to participate in the upcoming 2012-13 US Soccer Development season and four foreign-based players.

Piakai Henkel, currently with Amiens SC in the French third division, will make his first appearance in a US U-18 camp, as will Bayern Munich forward Julian Green, who has also appeared for Germany's youth national teams. Romain Gall, also based in France with Ligue 1 side Lorient FC's youth system, and Stoke City youth player Kristian Scott were recalled after participating in camps earlier this year.
