American Exports: Parkhurst stays hot in Denmark

AMSTERDAM – Five Americans laced up under Friday night lights, with Michael Parkhurst notched an assist on the winner as Danish champs FC Nordsjælland strolled to a 4-1 home victory over Conor O'Brien's SønderjyskE.

With the game deadlocked at a goal a side on 51 minutes, the Wild Tigers center back played in Patrick Mtiliga for the decider. Parkhurst now has two goals and three assists in five games this season.

With their win streak up to three, Nordsjælland tentatively moved to the top of the Superliga table. Meanwhile, SønderjyskE lost for the third time in four games to hold still in sixth place.

Turning to Dutch second flight action, Charles Kazlauskas set up the fourth goal from the unusual spot of left back in Helmond Sport's 5-2 cruise through De Graafschap. The Wisconsin native is up to a goal and two assist on the season as the visitors stayed perfect on the summit through three rounds.

Over in England's Championship, Tim Ream was an unused sub as Bolton posted a see-saw 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

In Germany, Andrew Wooten watched on as Sandhausen tentatively climbed to second place in the 2.Bundesliga with a 2-0 defeat of Union Berlin.
