AT&T GotW update: Martins scissor kick cutting it close

There’s a South American battle at the heart of this week’s Goal of the Week.

Brazilian Felipe Martins leads the vote with his side scissor kick securing the Montreal Impact's win over Philadelphia Union. Only 1.3 percent behind is Seattle Sounders veteran Fredy Montero with his quick footed reaction picking up Alex Caskey’s rebound. With such a small gap between the two, who knows whether Martins’ scissor kick or Montero’s side-footed volley will come out on top at the end of the week?

There's still time to voice your opinion. Cast your ballot before voting ends on Thursday at 11:59 pm PT. The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and via text and is announced on Fridays. Here's how the voting stands as of Thursday morning:

1. Felipe Martins (MTL) 35.1%

2. Fredy Montero (SEA) 33.8%

3. Jack Jewsbury (POR) 25.1%

4. Eddie Johnson (SEA) 3.3%

5. Joseph Nane (COL) 2.6%
