Over in Ireland's Premier Division, fresh Bray Wanderers wing recruit Brendan King made a three-minute pro debut in their 1-1 draw at Sligo Rovers. The result snapped a two-game losing streak for the Seagulls, who moved four points clear of the danger zone.

Swedish Allsvenskan action saw Brian Span work 27 minutes off the bench as Djurgården settled for a 1-1 draw away to 10-man Syrianska. The Blue Stripes are now unbeaten in nine, with identical scorelines in their last four games on the road.
