Under fire for his role in recent on-field incidents, Eddie Johnson let his goals do the talking this week.
The heralded Seattle Sounders forward hit a brace against the New England Revolution and, while it wasn't enough to get his team all three points, it did lock up the No. 1 spot for EJ in the Castrol Top 20 for Week 17.
It was also a week for goalkeepers with four featuring on the list, including Toronto's Milos Kocic (No. 9) who is joined by teammates Ryan Johnson (No. 15) and Danny Koevermans (No. 3) with TFC experiencing a revival.
The top defenders on the list belong to D.C. United with Robbie Russell (No. 6) and Dejan Jakovic (No. 10) ranking highest.
And while New York's Jan Gunnar Solli (No. 18) made the list for yet another week, two Colorado Rapids made surprise appearances as Jaime Castrillón (No. 4) and Hunter Freeman (No. 20) left their mark on the Portland Timbers in a dominant 3-0 win that could prove a turning point for their season.
