American Exports: Spector out two more weeks with injury

Birmingham City's Jonathan Spector

AMSTERDAM – Birmingham City handyman Jonathan Spector is expected to remain on the shelf from a hamstring setback for another two weeks.

The US international was lifted early from their March 13 loss at Leicester City and has not dressed since. Boss Chris Hughton hopes to have Spector back on the promotion chase when they host Crystal Palace on April 7.

"The manager said he's likely to be about a couple more weeks," Brums press officer Chris Kershaw told MLSsoccer.com. "It's just niggled – it's not torn or anything. But it'll be about 10 to 14 days before he's back in action."

Since Spector's injury, Birmingham have posted a 1-1-1 record. Currently hanging onto the last promotion playoff spot by goal differential, they travel to face Doncaster Rovers on Friday night.
