American Exports: Buddle back in training despite knock

AMSTERDAM — Ingolstadt forward Edson Buddle is not expected to miss any more game time after being pulled early from their weekend loss with a thigh bruise.

The US international helped set up the game's opening goal on 14 minutes, but took a good knock on the play and was instantly removed as a precaution.

"He has been hit on the leg, nothing bad," Ingolstadt press officer Oliver Samwald told MLSsoccer.com on Tuesday. "He was back in the training today and we are optimistic that he will be able to be back in the squad on Friday."

The southerners will try to climb out of the danger zone when Dynamo Dresden come to town on Friday. Ingolstadt have just five points and the league's worst goal differential through seven games.

Thus far this season, Buddle has appeared in every game, bagging one goal in 225 minutes of play. Since arriving at Ingolstadt from the LA Galaxy in January, the 30-year old striker has hit four times in 21 matches.
