Michael Bradley

AMSTERDAM — Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Michael Bradley is in Italy to complete a move to Chievo and is expected to be unveiled at the Behtegodi on Tuesday afternoon, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

The Foals confirmed to MLSsoccer.com that Bradley had departed to sew up a transfer, and a source close to the talks indicated that the US international would sign a two-year contract with club option for another upon completion of a medical exam.

Chievo managed to seal a deal for Bradley just before Serie A rivals AS Roma came calling on the weekend. The 24-year-old New Jersey native was also having his situation watched closely by Napoli, Racing Santander and a mystery Bundesliga side.

Chievo begin the new Serie A campaign when promoted Novara comes to town on Sept. 11.
