POLL: Does Adu make Philly a championship-caliber team?

Freddy Adu

Does the signing of Adu make Philadelphia a championship-caliber team?

This week's worst-kept secret was finally put to bed: Freddy Adu has returned to MLS and will reunite with his former coach, Peter Nowak, at the Philadelphia Union.

The addition is certainly a fascinating one. Though the Union have set the pace in the Eastern Conference, they've done so mostly on the back of a superior defense. By their own admission they've sputtered where often it matters most: scoring goals. With Adu, they've acquired a playmaker who can create offense with his vision and creativity. But is it enough? Will the addition of Adu turn what is already one of the better teams in the East into the best team in the league? Can the 22-year-old help guide the Union to an MLS Cup, just as he did with D.C. United in 2004? Let us know!
