Luis Gil's education continues.

The 17-year-old Real Salt Lake starlet opened his scoring account with the United States U-20 side on Tuesday, tallying in the Americans' 3-3 draw with France.

Conor Doyle — the Americans' best player during their unsuccessful CONCACAF Championship effort — and Molde rising star Josh Gatt also tallied for the US, who led 3-1 before conceding two tallies.

The match was part of a six-day training camp in Vichy, France, under interim head coach and former US international Tab Ramos. The camp runs from May 15-20.

The US will battle the host team again on Thursday.
