American Exports: Feilhaber, Aarhus stay on top

US midfielder Benny Feilhaber stayed with Aarhus depite their relegation from the Danish top flight.

AMSTERDAM – Maurice Edu filled in at the unusual station of right back as Rangers continued their three-peat hunt with a nervy 1-0 win at Aberdeen on Wednesday.

The US international had a few worrisome episodes in the first half, but raised his game after the break as the Light Blues crept to within two points of title rivals Celtic. With a yellow card tackle sandwiched in between, Edu derailed a Chris Maguire breakaway shortly after intermission and cleared his line from a free kick with a quarter hour to go.

Over in Denmark's second flight, Benny Feilhaber went the distance as first-place AGF Aarhus maintained a seven-point cushion by topping guests Roskilde 2-0.

Meanwhile, Babjide Ogunbiyi saw yellow as Viborg missed a chance to climb out of the drop zone by falling 2-0 at Skive.
