Day 2 of Sueno MLS 2011 - presented by Allstate gets under way

After an exciting Day 1 of Sueño MLS 2011 – presented by Allstate, during which FC Dallas stars David Ferreira and Daniel Hernandez stopped by to say hello to the 400 young contestants, Day 2 gets down to business.


[inline_node:333471]Thirty players who impressed on Day 1 were invited back for more training and evaluation on Sunday, including several goalkeepers contending to be named El Portero Sueño. On Saturday,young goalkeepers were treated to some instruction from former Mexican international goalkeeper Felix Fernandez.


Under the watchful eye of FC Dallas youth coaches, including Academy director Oscar Pareja, the final 30 players will be put through more strenuous training and play more games to determine which five will be named as finalists.


The five finalists from Dallas will be announced next Sunday, April 17. Tune into the weekly television show Republica Deportiva on Univision to find out who made it to the next round.


Sueño MLS 2011 – presented by Allstate moves on to Chicago next weekend, where another 400 aspiring players will be put through the paces by academy coaches from the Chicago Fire. Another five finalists will be determined in Chicago.
