Canada roster announced for U-17 tournament

Canada U-17s head coach Sean Fleming has announced his roster for the U-17 CONCACAF Championship that takes place over the next two weeks in Jamaica.

The side is loaded with talent from the academies of MLS clubs Toronto FC and the Vancouver Whitecaps. Each academy is represented by five players, while 2012 MLS expansion club Montreal boast another four players.

Fleming picked an experienced group. Seventeen of the 20 joined on a trip to Jamaica last fall during which they split two friendlies against the Jamaican U-17s.

Drawn in Group D, Canada will face Barbados on Thursday and Honduras on Saturday.
