Poll: Bench or start Crew's Schelotto?

Crew head coach Robert Warzycha opted to re-energize his attack by subbing out star player Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

In 2009, Columbus Crew head coach Robert Warzycha benched Guillermo Barros Schelotto for the first leg of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against Real Salt Lake. Some have said the move backfired when the Crew crashed out of the playoffs.

Warzycha started his veteran Argentine playmaker in the first leg of their conference semi-final last Thursday against the Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, but was taken off in the 68th minute for Andres Mendoza.

After the game, MLSsoccer.com writer Simon Borg called for Schelotto to be benched for the second leg at Crew Stadium (Saturday, Nov. 6, 4 pm ET on Telefutura), citing a lack of energy. MLSsoccer.com Crew beat writer Craig Merz called for Schelotto to play the second leg, insisting that he is still the best player on the field for Columbus.

What should Warzycha do? We want to hear which of our writers you agree with!
