The Columbus Crew returns home from a two-game road swing to face the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, June 10, at 7:30 p.m. at Crew Stadium. The match-up vs. the Wizards is a battle of teams tied for second place in the Eastern Conference.


The Crew (4-4-2, 14 pts) is 3-1-1 in its last four games after downing Western Conference leader FC Dallas, 2-1, on Saturday, June 3, in Frisco, Texas. Kansas City is also 4-4-2 (14 pts) on the year after a 1-1 tie at home vs. New York on Saturday, June 3.

THE CREW AND RED BULLS TO MEET IN HALL OF FAME GAME ON AUGUST 28 IN ONEONTA, NY
The National Soccer Hall of Fame announced today that the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew will meet in the 2006 edition of the annual Hall of Fame Game on Monday, August 28, at 1:00 p.m. on At-A-Glance Field in Oneonta, NY.


"The Hall of Fame Game is an important part of the growing tradition of Induction Weekend in Oneonta," President/CEO Will Lunn stated. "We are honoring pioneers and stars of Major League Soccer and the Women's National Team this year. Hosting an MLS match illustrates the commitment the professional game has to the history of the soccer in America and to the stars we honor."

CREW'S U.S. SOCCER FOUNDATION PASSBACK NIGHT IS SATURDAY, JUNE 10
The U.S. Soccer Foundation, in partnership with the Crew, MLS and Eurosport, will be collecting new and gently used soccer equipment at Crew Stadium on June 10 through its Passback program. The equipment collected will then be distributed within our community, to the Columbus Department of Recreation and Parks, so that others may enjoy the wonderful sport of soccer. Eurosport will be awarding a $200 gift certificate to the team or individual donating the most equipment and fans are encouraged to gather up those jerseys, shin guards, shoes, socks and soccer balls and bring them to the Crew's 7:30 p.m. game vs. the Kansas City Wizards that night to "Share the equipment. Share the Game!" Crew goalkeeper Jon Busch serves as the local Passback spokesperson.


SIGI Q&A AND WORLD CUP PREVIEW FOR CREW SOCCER NATION MEMBERS SET FOR THURSDAY
Crew Head Coach Sigi Schmid will host a special Question & Answer session for Crew Soccer Nation members on Thursday, June 8, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Crew Stadium's Huntington Club. Schmid will answer questions about the current Crew season and give a preview of the upcoming 2006 FIFA World Cup that begins on Friday, June 9.


CREW STADIUM WILL ONCE AGAIN SERVE AS "CUP HEADQUARTERS" STARTING JUNE 9
The Crew has announced that Crew Stadium will once again serve as "Cup Headquarters" by hosting viewing parties for all 64 games of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany that will be televised live on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2.


Admission to "Cup Headquarters" will be free and complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, including tournament specials. The games will be shown in the Stadium Club tent located just west of the stadium.


The World Cup begins on Friday, June 9, when host Germany takes on Costa Rica, and runs through the July 9 final. The World Cup is the most anticipated and watched sporting event in the world. Thirty-two nations qualify for the World Cup Finals, which are held every four years, and they are drawn into eight groups of four. The top two teams in each group, after a three-game, first-round round-robin, advance to the Round of 16, which begins the knockout phase.

THE CREW AND EVERTON TO MEET ON JULY 26 AT CREW STADIUM
The Crew will face Everton FC of the English Premier League on Wednesday, July 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Crew Stadium. The game is "Special Game A" for Crew Soccer Nation members.


Individual advance ticket pricing is $15 adult/$13 youth (south end), $20/$17 (north end), $25/$19 (corner), $27/$21 (midfield) and $40/$30 (club seats). Day of game pricing is $2 more than advance purchases. Group pricing is also available and can be purchased by calling 614-447-CREW.

Everton finished 11th in the 20-team Premier League's just completed 2005-2006 season. The July 26 game vs. The Crew will be one of the final preparation matches before Everton kicks off the next Premier League season in mid-August.


Three members of the Everton squad will be participating in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, including former MLS star and U.S. National Team goalkeeper Tim Howard. Howard was recently loaned to Everton for the 2006-2007 season from Manchester United where he has played since July 2003. The other two Everton players playing in the World Cup are Portugese defender Nuno Valente and Australian midfielder Tim Cahill.


The Crew has ties to Everton, as Crew Assistant Coach Robert Warzycha played for The Toffees from 1991-1994 and former Crew star Brian McBride spent time on loan at Everton.


The Crew is 6-1-1 all-time in international exhibitions, including 2-0-1 against teams from the English Premier League. The Black & Gold downed Leeds, 2-1, in 1997, tied Newcastle, 2-2, in 2000, and defeated Fulham, 2-1, in 2005.


CREW RESERVES FALL TO FC DALLAS RESERVES
The Crew Reserves fell, 3-0, to the FC Dallas Reserves on Sunday, June 4, in Frisco, Texas.
