Training update: Off to Argentina

Eddie Johnson and the Wizards have headed to Argentina for more training.

The Kansas City Wizards spent their last day in the United States practicing long and hard before they departed for Argentina on Monday evening.

"We planned a hard day for the guys as we're leaving for Argentina (Monday night)," Kansas City Wizards assistant coach Kris Kelderman said. "We spent practice (Sunday) getting the guys back in form and we focused on picking up the pace (Monday) before we headed out. We focused on activities that would make the practice environment competitive and keep the intensity very high."

From a Player's Perspective: Willy Guadarrama

His response to other players' comments that he is a ladies' man:
"I guess I would have to agree; the other players all have girlfriends and I don't. I would say I absolutely have some charm, so I'll go with it."

On the upcoming trip to Argentina:
"I can't wait to do down there, play other teams and see how soccer is played in other parts of the world. The FBI agent who talked to us yesterday put a bit of a scare into us, but traveling to foreign countries has been a part of my life and I may actually be able to help some of the players since I speak Spanish fluently. I'm looking forward to it."
