work harder on both sides of the ball as a group and fight through it together."
Said striker Kenny Cooper: "It starts to get in your head a little bit. I think we've got to have a positive mentality going forward. We have to start winning games again. I think we'll have a positive mentality going into those games. ... I think that we all believe that a goal will come, a goal will come and that's why we keep playing. That's why you play a full game. We're disappointed with the result obviously. We have an opportunity to make things right against Colorado, so hopefully we can do that."
Clarence Goodson was given his sixth start of the season, coming into central defense in place of Greg Vanney.
"We've given up some bad individual goals in the last few games and we thought it was time for a change. I thought the two boys in the back did well tonight," Clarke said. "Overall they've done well. In the first half they got a little bit lucky on the goal when it deflected off someone's heel and deflected straight to them. Overall I felt pretty good."
It was a fourth 1-0 defeat in the last six losses for FC Dallas. "I thought we did a pretty good job holding them. They got one chance that was a pretty good chance and they finished it," said left back Chris Gbandi. "We didn't really do a good job overall of creating stuff for the guys up front. That's what usually happens when you don't help the guys up front and they get a chance and usually finish it. We've just got to regroup and hopefully do better in Colorado."
