Peguero transferred to Brondby

SECAUCUS, N.J. - Red Bull New York announced today that forward Jean Philippe Peguero has been transferred to Danish club, Brondby. Per MLS policy, terms of the transfer will not be disclosed.

Peguero was the Red Bulls' leading scorer before the transfer, finding the back of the net six times this season. His most notable game in 2006 was New York's 5-4 win over Chivas USA at Giants Stadium on May 20, when he notched a hat trick and an assist. For that effort, he was the MLS Player of the Week for Week 8.

The Haitian forward was acquired by New York in a trade with the Colorado Rapids on April 21, 2006 in exchange for Thiago Martins, a 2007 first round draft pick and a 2007 third round draft pick.

Prior to joining the Red Bulls, the 24-year-old spent two years with Colorado, featuring in 44 games and recording 14 goals and 10 assists during his time there.
