Italy wins World Cup over France on PKs

Pirlo and Materazzi -- found the net easily. Sylvain Wiltord hit first for France, but Trezeguet's effort struck the crossbar and bounced down on the line, but not into the goal. De Rossi and Del Piero each was successful for Italy, but Eric Abidal and Sagnol answered, putting all the pressure on Grosso. He made no mistake, burying his effort in the upper corner to give the 'Azzurri' their first title since 1982.
